Katerina Savvidou graduated in 2017 from the School of Biology, Faculty of Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, having completed her internship in the Microdiagnostics laboratory from 2016. As part of her studies, she successfully completed her Degree Thesis with the title: “Study of antioxidant enzymes and HSPs and p38 MAPK in the foot muscle of land snails after temperature increase”.

She participated in the 39th Scientific Conference of EEBE (Hellenic Society for Biological Sciences) on the subject: “Study of the expression of heat shock proteins HSP70, HSP90, and p38 MAPKs and ERKs in different species of land snails after exposure to high temperature”. She was awarded as one of the three best entries and received a prize.

Participation in the 8th HELECOS Panhellenic Ecology Conference with a paper titled: “Study of antioxidant enzymes in different species of terrestrial gastropods”. Katerina works in the Molecular Laboratory at Microdiagnostics, with a particular focus on Cytogenetics. In addition, she also serves as Deputy Head of the Quality Department of our laboratory.
