With HaemArray Lung we focus on the EGFR gene and the mutation carried by exon 20 (T790M) which statistically occurs more frequently in non-small cell lung cancer and is associated with the response to targeted therapy with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI).
Along with T790M, control is also provided to the remaining key exons of the EGFR gene (exons 18-21).

HaemArray Lung detects mutations of major clinical significance, which are then used by your Oncologist to personalize your treatment regimen.
The molecular biologist processes the blood in a fully controlled environment, using real-time polymerase chain reaction (Real-time PCR).
A small amount of blood (~10 ml) is taken, as in a routine hematology test. In the event that the blood collection is not performed at Microdiagnostics facilities, the blood should be collected in a 10ml Streck vial (please contact us to supply it to you).
Transport conditions: The vial with the blood is kept at room temperature. Caution, the blood should not be placed in the refrigerator, exposed to ice packs, or frozen. After collection, it is recommended to transport it at Microdiagnostics facilities as soon as possible.
